Questions

Who would you say is the most influential designer or architect in your career?
I’ve been most affected by overall schools of thought and larger ideas about how we approach the built environment in a time of dwindling resources, most specifically the minimalist movement. I currently have the immense pleasure of working with Ricardo Legorreta and am definitely influenced by that experience, gaining a deeper level of understanding of how to transcend to a greater purism.

What is your favorite piece of furniture?
My bed.

What is the most fun you have had in this industry?
Working in teams with fun, creative, dedicated people. It reminds me every day that we are interdependent parts of a whole. No one can pull anything off by themselves in this industry. It takes all of us to see our projects into reality, and I think that’s a good thing to keep in our awareness.

What is your favorite indulgence?
Red wine.

What is something you cannot live without?
Balance time; creative head space to connect to the source. It’s the only place where I find true creativity.

What CD is in your car right now?
A lecture series entitled, “Change the days that are here.”
