Questions

Who would you say is the most influential designer or architect in your career?
I honestly don’t have a favorite. I have favorite educators…

What is your favorite piece of furniture?
I love unique casegoods pieces with many drawers! I also own a small, cherry sofa table that I love. Another one of my favorites: the rocking chairs that I gave to my daughters for their children.

What is the most fun you have had in this industry?
I don’t know when I haven’t had fun in this industry. Our exceptional design students at CSU keep me laughing while the industry keeps me abreast of design trends. The fun of meeting new professionals and students makes every day rewarding, meaningful and enjoyable.

Ooh! I also had a terrific time attending the IDEC Awards Banquet at the IDEC Annual Conference in Calgary, Canada. I was escorted by a Royal Canadian Mountie—he was very humorous. That was fun!

What is your favorite indulgence?
Dark chocolate and riding horses.

What is something you cannot live without?
My 10 children (four by marriage), my grandson and my truly great husband—in other words, my family!

What CD is in your car right now?
Jack Johnson.
