SOURCE FOUR SPONSORS DESIGN AFTER DARK FUNDRAISING EVENT
DENVER, Colo.—Source Four Inc., a regional provider of unique commercial furnishings, recently sponsored and participated in the fourth annual Design After Dark, a fundraising event organized by the Design Council to benefit the department of architecture, design & graphics at the Denver Art Museum.
This is Source Four’s third year participating, and first year sponsoring, the fundraising event.
For this year’s Design After Dark, 40 local participating artists and designers were given a word ending in "ish" and a unique object from the department of architecture, design & graphics at the museum, one of the most important design collections in the country.
Each artist was to create a new object inspired by the two elements. The new objects were auctioned off to raise additional funds for the museum.
Three Source Four designers collaborated to create a new object inspired by their given word, skirmish, and their designated object, an Apple iBook computer. Their resulting handmade globe of intertwined metal and thread represented the push and pull of technology, and its impact on interpersonal communications, in today’s world.
“We were thrilled to add sponsorship to our annual participation in the Design After Dark fundraising event,” said Crystal Nodsle, Source Four designer. “Flexing our creative muscles to benefit the Denver Art Museum is such a privilege. We’re looking forward to next year’s challenge!”
